I’m not one to follow such frivolous trends. I though “BEDA…How overrated.”
How dare you insist that I’m only changing it up because I was late to discover it… That’s just silly.
So I’m instituting BEDM… Blog Every Day in May! May is a cooler month anyways, since we have like 34 days off of school for some reason (despite there being only 31 days in the month), several Dutch holidays.
Then I remembered that I would never blog for 31 consecutive days, so I changed my mind. So, normal blog up ahead!
My mother recently went on a camera purchase mission. In my bookmark bar, I had a link to a Canon EOS 550D. I was thinking “Ha, it’d be cool if I ever got this, maybe for Christmas if my mother really loves me a lot this year.”
So I took advantage of my mom’s sudden craning to buy a DSLR, and shifted her goal. She wanted a SONY- Ha! Everyone knows that a Canon or Nikon DLSR is way better! (Just kidding. I mean, they are, but not everyone knows that? How did I even know that?) So I managed to convince my mom I knew best. At MediaMarkt… (that spelling bothers me too.)
Mom: Well I want a Sony!
Me: Mom, you can’t get a Sony digi SLR! I mean, pftttt. SONY?
Mom: What’s wrong with Sony?
Me: (unable to think of anything) Well, nothing I guess but there are much better brands for an SLR.
Mom: Oh, what do YOU know…
Me: About camera? A LOT, actually! (Ha, what?) For example (remembering bookmarked camera) there’s this one Canon I really liked…
And we purchased the beautiful Canon EOS 550D! I was psyched, but my mom was like “girrrrl, this is my camera because you always screw them up.”
So it’s my mom’s camera, but she lets me play with it C: Here are some pictures I took with it, to excite you :D AFTER LE JUMP

I was considering doing the “blog every day in [month here]” thing but I know I would lose dedication after three days or so, so no use in that. I can barely blog every four days much less every day.
Haha that’s actually funny. If my parents randomly wanted a camera, I would jump the gun and point out one of the better ones too. I have a DSLR myself already so there’s no use in that. My step mom is going to Greece soon and she asked to borrow my camera; I told her no since it costed me $600. “If you want the camera, you have to take me with you.” :’) She bought a cheap Panasonic camera instead. Ew.
Those are some really good shots though!
Overall, I’ve only seen one or two people TOTAL doing the BEDA thing. I don’t think I’d ever be able to do that. O.O As it is, I only blog when I have something worth saying, which almost never /boring life/ LOL
I like the way you think with your cameras~! =’D I can NEVER get my mom to get me stuff. She knows too much about computers (as long as its not internet stuff) and cameras as it is! Though I’ve got to say I’m proud of my mom for knowing what cameras are good, and what cameras are complete crud. Though she’s clueless when it comes to computer models. :/ Ahh well, you can’t teach your mom everything, right? xD

i love that i’m the “Tech” person in my family – if I say something about a product like a camera, a laptop, a phone.. then it’ll automatically be right :) The powers of being the techy in the family :) hahaha.
I’ve never tried to do BEDA because I know I’ll fail. Also I don’t have a blog, so that’s a minor inhibition.
I’ve got a Canon 550D, it’s my baby. It cost literally all my savings, but it was so worth it. ;) You took some really great pictures!
